The Role

As a WLAN Engineer in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team, you will get to work with cutting-edge Silicon Labs Wireless products while ensuring that our products meet the requirement of the WLAN standards. Our Hyderabad SQA team is focused on improving the overall quality of software used in Silicon Labs Wi-Fi combo products targeting Internet of Things (IoT), and Industrial Automation applications.

What you will do:

• Design and execute functional, negative, performance, and stress tests for Silicon Labs embedded IoT products
• Work together with embedded software developers on integrating test applications into test framework
• Automate tests in order they can run regularly as part of continuous integration
• Work closely with development team(s) to develop detailed test plans, and to debug problems found during the test cycle
• Maintain, manage and improve automated test scripts
• Work in an Agile test environment

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or Communications
• 4+ years of work experience in embedded software system test and test automation
• Excellent hands-on experience and understanding of WLAN/MQTT/SSL protocols
• Strong Experience in the use of protocol analyzers and packet sniffers (Wireshark)
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is a huge plus
• Communicate well and work well in a small cross-functional team
• Able to multitask and able to come up to speed with new technology quickly
