Siemens Smart Infrastructure is shaping the future of buildings by combining digital technologies, automation, and energy management to make environments smarter, safer, and more sustainable. Our Building Technologies business delivers integrated building automation, HVAC, fire, security, and energy solutions across a wide range of customer sites.

We currently have an opportunity for a Service Technician Service Specialist to join our New South Wales Service team. This is a hands-on field-based role working across Sydney and regional NSW, supporting a broad customer base across commercial, health, education, and infrastructure environments.

The NSW Service team plays a critical role in Siemens overall service offering. This position suits someone who enjoys fault finding, working directly with customers, and taking ownership of service outcomes in live operational environments.

Reporting to the NSW Service Team Leader, you will deliver technical service work across preventative maintenance, reactive service, minor upgrades, and small works. You will work across multiple customer sites and be part of an on call and after-hours support roster.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preventative maintenance and reactive service of building automation and HVAC control systems

  • Fault finding and rectification of control panels, field devices, networks, and software

  • Use of diagnostic tools and remote service platforms to identify and resolve issues

  • Evaluation of customer systems and providing technical recommendations

  • Supporting site safety activities including OH&S compliance and risk assessments

  • Assisting with minor works, upgrades, and commissioning activities

  • Providing technical input into quotes, planning, and service delivery where required

  • Maintaining accurate service records, reports, and customer documentation

  • Building strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical foundation, a customer focused mindset, and a practical approach to problem solving.

Essential skills and experience

  • Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals and building services systems

  • Experience working in a service or maintenance environment

  • Current Victorian Electrical Licence

  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills

  • Comfortable working independently across multiple sites

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer engagement and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience with Building Automation Systems including Siemens Desigo, or similar platforms

  • Knowledge of control networks such as BACnet, Modbus, and IP based systems

  • PLC or building controls software exposure

  • Experience with commissioning, testing, or minor project works

  • Understanding of energy efficiency and optimisation principles

  • Confidence using mobile devices, service management systems, and Microsoft tools

  • Awareness of cyber security and OT network best practice in building systems

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their technical work, cares about customer outcomes, and enjoys being part of a close-knit service team. You will have a practical mindset, a strong safety focus, and a genuine desire to improve system performance and customer satisfaction.

In return, Siemens offers long term career development, exposure to industry leading technologies, and the opportunity to work in a supportive and professional service environment.

If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
