General Ledger Accountant - Finance (1-year Contract)

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely processing of accounting transactions with high accuracy
• Review reconciliation and coordinate with relevant parties to investigate and resolve the differences/issues
• Lead the discussion with Business/Operations, HQ finance, and Finance Operations team in setting up process flows, financial information and reports
• Responsible for month end closing, and ensuring that closing is completed within the stipulated deadline
• Prepare meaningful and good quality analysis on the financial statement
• Ensure accounting standards, tax requirements, company policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times
• Handles external and internal audits, and resolves issues highlighted.
• Analyse business processes and requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes with technology solutions (e.g. automation)
• Improve existing processes where possible to drive efficiency in the reconciliation and reporting processes
• To provide insightful information as and when required by management to support decision making
• Perform other ad hoc assignments and tasks as and when requested by management.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree / Professional qualification in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of working experience
• Prior experience in Big 4 audit firms is an advantage
• Detailed oriented person
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude, highly adaptable, able to interact at all levels and work independently in a fast-paced and high volume environment
