Business Development Intern [Lifestyle - Travel, Dining & Services] (Spring 2027)

The Business Development team at Shopee plays a pivotal role in driving the platform’s ambition to become the number shopping destination for all. Focused on expanding Shopee's presence in each industry sector, our team works strategically to enhance both buying and selling experiences, fostering key partnerships with top global and local brands. With a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making, market insights, and trend analysis, we are dedicated to identifying new opportunities and crafting innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers. As part of this high-performing team, you will contribute to shaping Shopee’s leadership in the competitive e-commerce space.

Responsibilities

• Assist Key Account Managers (KAMs) in daily operational work related to campaigns and initiatives such as identifying and managing key merchants and deals to elevate campaign performance
• Support the end-to-end curation and execution of high-visibility campaigns and deals, backed by data insights and consumer behavior trends
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless processes, from merchant onboarding to commercialisation
• Work with stakeholders to optimise exposure strategies to maximise engagement and relevance for deals and campaigns
• Conduct competitor monitoring and research to better understand the competitor landscape of the various categories
• Promote niche sellers to participate in Shopee campaigns and achieve sustainable growth
• Adopt a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
• Assist to develop innovative workflows and automation tools to streamline daily operations and boost efficiency

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any related discipline
• Positive, team-player, and energetic attitude
• Entrepreneurial spirit, works well in a dynamic environment
• Excellent in communication, enjoys interacting and forming relationships with partners
• Analytical and comfortable with data, Microsoft Excel skills will be advantageous
• Relevant experience in e-commerce and knowledge of local F&B Deal Vouchers scene is an advantage
