Budgeting & Planning - Strategic Driver Planning (ShopeeFood)

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the overall driver planning of the Shopee Food platform, with a strong focus on:
• Designing and managing driver pricing strategies, including payouts and bonuses, to align with business goals and change in market conditions.
• Leading initiatives to improve driver-related algorithms and products.
• Managing profit and loss by optimizing costs with the objective of improving business SOPs (both for drivers & stakeholders).
• Improving platform reliability by balancing supply and demand to optimize business profitability and leading initiatives to reduce order cancellations.
• Investigate issues in depth, identify their root causes, and translate findings into clear and actionable improvement plans.
• Create short and long-term projection based on historical data, market trends, and business assumptions.
• Regularly monitor and analyze performance, run experiments to validate new ideas, and convert data insights into concrete strategies that drive measurable results.
• Build reports to keep management well-informed on key trends, ongoing initiatives, and recommended next steps.
• Collaborate actively with cross-functional teams — both locally and across markets — to develop, align, and execute strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence, strategic planning, or a related field (position is also available for more experienced level).
• Previous experience in ride-hailing or food delivery industries is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Statistics, or Business) from a top-tier university.
• Strong problem-solving skills, structured thinking, analytical skills, and enjoy working with numbers.
• Curious to deep-dive anomaly or suspicious data and able to generate insights/findings from data to make data-driven decisions.
• SQL and spreadsheet proficiency is a must; R/Python programming language is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management & communication skills (Fluent in ID and EN, both written and verbal).
• Agile, comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple projects.
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
