About the role

  • Assist in preparing estimates for simple passive fire protection projects using approved estimation tools, under guidance from senior engineers.

  • Review tender documents, drawings, and schedules to extract relevant information for estimation, with supervision.

  • Perform material take-offs from structural drawings and models using tools such as Plan Swift and Tekla.

  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.

  • Actively seek guidance, feedback, and learning opportunities to improve technical capability.

Qualification : B.E / (Civil (Desirable)/Mechanical)

Experience : 0-3 Yrs. of Experience

Software Knowledge : AutoCAD, Tekla, PDS/PDMS, STAAD Pro, Microsoft office, Any 3D BIM (desirable but not mandatory)

Valid Passport : Mandatorily required.

Job Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

  • Basic paint technology knowledge particularly regarding FIRETEX products and Knowledge of basic passive fire protection principles is desirable.

  • Confident in dealing with a client over telephone or email to determine all the relevant technical information required to enable a project to be accurately quantified.

  • Ability to advise the customer with respect to engineering solutions Inc fire engineered solutions (in time with our training).

  • Ability to read and interpret structural engineering and architectural drawings and a broad knowledge and understanding of structural steelwork and general engineering principles is mandatorily essential.

  • Ability to operate CAD droughting software, particularly TEKLA &AutoCAD is desirable.

  • Ability to quantify steelwork materials in a listed format would be a benefit.

  • Should possess good communication skills and should be a good Team player with a positive “can do” attitude.
