• The Lead Technical Analyst
• Tax is responsible to drive innovation in tax-related processes and technology. This role will work closely to integrate technology solutions within the tax area, ensuring alignment of tax systems with business processes. The incumbent will work closely with technical teams to deliver tax implementations integrating with Oracle and boundary systems, compliance tax reporting, and e Invoicing. You will be responsible for leading the support for software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise-wide applications necessary for the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of data for internal department planning and activities. The incumbent will lead the partnership with technical teams to ensure software systems are running efficiently with minimal downtime. The incumbent will be responsible for managing configuration, set up, and updates to the applications, validating that their team has entered data into established tables, fields, and system databases with the highest level of accuracy. The incumbent is an expert in developing custom queries and building reports utilizing query and flexible reporting tools to facilitate business management decisions. The role will provide strategic advice to management concerning changes in applications development, maintenance and system standards to optimize performance and mitigate potential risk with the ability to analyze various metrics to monitor performance and provide insights to management. The incumbent will lead and mentor the team responsible for training users on the applications and setting up user access. They will supervise the collaboration between cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to provide sufficient support for the enterprise-wide applications.​

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Cleveland Headquarters office.

EDUCATION

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. In lieu of a degree, at least 9 years of experience in enterprise-wide software support

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Computer Science, or related field, and 7 years’ experience implementing tax technologies.
• Certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, and/or Oracle, ONESOURCE

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• 6+ years of experience in enterprise-wide software support with in-depth knowledge of software development methodologies
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise-wide applications and software platforms
• Experience managing software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise-wide systems
• Expertise in configuring and setting up various enterprise-wide applications
• Experience applying security designs and principles to technology-based business solutions
• Experience leading teams and overseeing database management and maintenance
• Ability to develop and review complex custom queries using query and reporting tools
• Extensive knowledge of data management best practices and quality control processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors

Preferred:

• Experience implementing large, multidisciplinary projects with ERP systems co-integrated with vendor solution indirect tax systems (ideally, ONESOURCE, Corptax, Vertex, Avalara, Longview).
• International Indirect Tax vendor SaaS implementations and configurations.
• A broad understanding of tax accounting and major tax processes.
• Transformation of the operational elements to deliver evolving technologies in batch and real time.
• Audit Compliance and data content services platform management to optimize digital tax document storage.
• Skilled writing of Lean Specifications, and deployment of Oracle Cloud (RAPID) configurations.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience with Oracle.
• Evolution and support of tax in a digital world.
• Emerging tax processes in a digital environment; SaaS, PaaS, Cloud technologies, API services.
