Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served North County’s coastal communities since 1978. We’re located at Santa Fe Drive and I-5, within walking distance of a park, fitness center, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants.

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.

This is a part-time (48 hours/2 weeks) position working varied days including weekends at Scripps Encinitas.Bonus Eligible

Join our team as an Inpatient Occupational Therapist at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and make an impact in this tight-knit coastal community. This large inter-disciplinary rehab department relies on teamwork to treat a wide variety of diagnoses, from stroke rehab patients to partnering with another specialty therapist for co-treatment, every day presents a new challenge.

The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, assessment, prognosis, treatment and education to patients and clients through a continuum of care according to the therapist's respective licensure/registration/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures. Perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools and demonstrate age specific care as established for area and job title.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

**$2K New Hire Incentive

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy

  • Current CA OT License or Pending CA OT License (license must be in hand by start.)

  • Current BLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care hospital environment

Position Pay Range: $54.24-$78.66/hour
