  • For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $98,400 - $147,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, jobrelated skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric is hiring a Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of data delivery across the North America (NAM) Data Excellence platform. This role drives improvements in data architecture, metric definitions, and processes that enable business data and analytics initiatives, while partnering closely with the Data Services team and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to conceptualize, design, and deliver enterprise and departmental data solutions supporting business intelligence, data warehousing, reporting, and machine learning needs.
  • Implement reliable, scalable solutions that meet service levels for mission‑critical systems.
  • Participate in and enhance DevOps practices to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
  • Translate business requirements into data pipelines and data stores.
  • Conduct assessments and proof‑of‑concepts on emerging tools and technologies.
  • Work with Data and Solution Architects to define and execute migration strategies from legacy systems to cloud technologies.
  • Provide feedback to improve the delivery and performance of team solutions. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • 3+ years of experience developing data solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Demonstrated experience with key AWS services (EC2, Lambda, EMR, S3, IAM policies, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, SES).
  • Experience with cloud data and database technologies such as DMS, Kafka, Spark, Redshift, Athena, Hadoop, and Airflow.
  • Knowledge of Data Management, Integration, and Data Quality tools (Alteryx, Trifacta, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Cloud, Oracle Data Integrator), along with a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong command of advanced SQL and programming.
  • Experience contributing to and following best practices for architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Strong focus on operational transparency and resiliency across application layers.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to identify key facts quickly and propose creative, practical solutions.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, processes, and CI/CD is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills.
