About the role

The Demand Planner & Inventory Controller drives accurate demand forecasting, optimal inventory levels, and material availability to support warehouse operations. This role ensures 99% inventory accuracy and minimizes stockouts/excess while aligning with production and procurement schedules. Key Roles & Responsibilities Develop monthly demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, and market inputs for critical warehouse parts. Maintain optimal inventory levels through Min-Max planning, safety stock calculations, and reorder point management. Monitor inventory turnover, aging stock, and conduct weekly cycle counts to achieve 98% location accuracy. Analyze demand patterns, identify slow-moving/excess inventory, and recommend disposition (e.g., returns, write-offs). Collaborate with procurement for timely PO releases and supplier follow-ups on ASN delays. Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports including stock levels, variances, and forecast accuracy metrics. Implement PFEP (Plan For Every Part) strategies and ABC analysis for inventory classification. Coordinate with kitting/putaway teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure transaction matrix compliance. Track KPIs: Inventory Accuracy (99%), Forecast Accuracy (85%+), Stockout Rate (<2%). Qualifications & Experience Any Graduate degree (B.Com, B.Sc, Engineering preferred). Minimum 10 years experience in demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain. Hands-on experience with SAP/WMS/Oracle, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, forecasting formulas). Required Skills Strong analytical skills for demand forecasting and inventory optimization. Proficiency in Excel macros/VBA for automated reporting (aligns with your VB skills). Knowledge of MRP, EOQ, and lean inventory principles. Excellent communication for cross-functional coordination with procurement and operations. Preferred Skills Experience with Schneider Electric part numbering systems and VNA operations. Familiarity with 5S, cycle counting, and rack-wise inventory audits. Let us learn about you!
