About the Quartz App team As a member of the Quartz App team, your mission is to ensure that the design system works just as well in applications as it does on the web, translating shared foundations into app-ready components, patterns, and guidelines. You work closely with Quartz Core to reuse and influence the foundations, and with product app teams to capture real constraints, validate solutions, and drive adoption. The team operates as a product team: clear outcomes, a roadmap aligned with platform OKRs, and tight collaboration with design, engineering, accessibility, and brand stakeholders. What will be your role ? As the Lead Developer for the Design System Application Team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining application-specific patterns and components while ensuring technical feasibility, performance, and alignment with the Core Design System. You will work closely with UX designers, front-end engineers, and product teams to build scalable, reusable UI components that enhance the application experience. Your will be responsible to ensure the team production is fully aligned with system-wide design and development principles lead by our Core team. You will be responsible for : Application-Specific Patterns & Components Development Develop and maintain modular, reusable, and well-documented front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks. Ensure components meet accessibility (WCAG), performance, and design system standards. Review other developers’ production and ensure high standards for code quality, accessibility, and performance. Collaboration and Implementation Partner with the Lead Designer to translate UX patterns into functional components. Onboard and work with product development teams to support integration and adoption. Lead or coordinate code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of component libraries. Work closely with product teams to support integration of design system components in live applications. Engaging the design system community, evangelizing your mission, and fostering trust with product teams and stakeholders. Design System Integration & Governance Align with the Core Design System Team to ensure consistent implementation of design tokens, theming, and naming conventions, and to implement application-specific variations of core components. Document technical specifications and usage guidelines for development teams. Advocate for consistent use of the design system’s application layer across projects. Technical Leadership & Best Practices Maintain a scalable, maintainable front-end architecture. Establish best practices for component structure, theming, and accessibility. Conduct code reviews, mentoring, and technical discussions to upskill the team. Provide technical guidance on development feasibility and front-end best practices. Strong expertise in React and Angular, Svelte or Vue.js, along with TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks. Extensive experience with design tokens, CSS-in-JS solutions, and scalable component architectures. Deep knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), performance optimization, and front-end security. Strong collaboration skills with designers, product managers, and other developers. Experience with Storybook, Figma-to-code workflows, and automated testing. Experience with both B2B and domain-specific complex applications. Familiar with an international environment and fluent in English.
