The Senior Manager – Export Control & Sanctions Investigations- Greater India, East Asia, and Pacific is responsible for leading and executing export control and sanctions investigations across Schneider Electric’s Greater India, East Asia, and Pacific zone. The role ensures that the region is audit‑ready, regulatory risks are thoroughly assessed, and investigation outcomes are clearly documented and communicated to support timely and effective remediation. The role reports to the Export Control and Sanctions Leader
- Global Investigations within the Global Export Control and Sanctions Center of Excellence (CoE). What will you do: Lead export control and sanctions investigations across the Greater India, East Asia, and Pacific region, including internal matters and externally initiated inquiries Perform end‑to‑end fact‑finding (document review, data analysis, interviews) to determine scope, root cause, and regulatory exposure Assess potential violations and regulatory risk under applicable Greater India, East Asia, and Pacific; U.S.; EU; UK; and UN export control and sanctions regimes Produce clear, defensible investigation deliverables, including reports, risk analyses, executive briefings, and documentation supporting voluntary disclosures Assist with investigations in other regions, as needed Provide investigation‑related guidance to regional and global stakeholders as subject matter expert Apply and help enhance investigation methodologies aligned with regulatory requirements, regional risk profiles, and Schneider Electric’s Export Control & Sanctions (EC&S) global compliance framework Work collaboratively to enhance processes, tools, templates, and dashboards Develop periodic reporting on KPIs, metrics, and trend analyses for leadership Represent the global EC&S investigations team through ongoing liaison and communication with Zone EC&S leaders, team members, and relevant Zone stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination. Support internal and external audits through investigative and technical expertise Maintain current regulatory and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars, and conferences What will make you successful: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 10–15 years of experience in export control and sanctions compliance, with a strong focus on investigations and regulatory risk assessment Extensive knowledge of regional regulatory environments, with solid understanding of U.S. export control and sanctions regulations (including OFAC, BIS, and ITAR); UN, EU, and UK experience is a plus Experience supporting multinational or regional compliance programs Strong investigative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of investigation reports and executive‑level summaries Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across regions and functions Strong diplomatic instincts and high standards of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 25%) as required Let us learn about you!
