Location: Kallang Mission (About the Role) Schneider Electric is looking for an experienced Project Distributor & General Distribution Sales Leader to drive profitable growth through our distributor network, with a strong focus on project and transaction sales, channel performance, and market expansion.

This role is primarily focused on general distribution and project-based business, managing distributor partnerships, driving specification influence, and ensuring strong commercial execution.

Busway is a strategic growth area within the role and represents approximately 20% of the overall responsibilities.

The ideal candidate brings strong channel leadership, project-selling experience, and the ability to work across complex ecosystems involving distributors, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

What will you do?

General Distribution & Project Sales Leadership (Primary Focus – ~80%) Lead and execute the general distribution sales strategy across assigned markets and customer segments.

Manage and grow relationships with core distributors and project-focused distribution partners.

Drive revenue, margin, and market share growth across project-based and transactional distribution business.

Identify, qualify, and develop project opportunities through distributor channels.

Influence specifications and solution selection at early design and tender stages.

Support distributors on complex or strategic projects, including commercial positioning and negotiations.

Drive disciplined opportunity management, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline health.

Distributor Performance & Capability Development Build strong, long-term distributor partnerships through joint growth plans.

Develop distributor capabilities in solution selling, project management, and technical application.

Deliver joint customer engagement, training, and sales enablement initiatives.

Monitor distributor performance using KPIs such as pipeline, win rate, and profitability.

Ensure alignment with commercial policies, pricing governance, and go-to-market priorities.

Busway Business Development (Secondary Focus – ~20%) Support the execution of the busway growth strategy within the project distribution and project channel.

Drive specification and adoption of busway solutions in selected segments such as commercial buildings, industrial facilities, infrastructure, and data centers.

Support key busway opportunities from early design through project award.

Work with selected busway-capable distributors and partners to develop qualified pipelines.

Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure correct solution design and value positioning.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Services teams to deliver complete, customer-focused solutions.

Provide market insights on customer needs, competitive activity, and distributor feedback.

Support demand planning, forecasting, and business reviews What qualifications will make you successful?

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Proven experience in general distribution sales, channel management, or project-based selling, preferably within electrical or power distribution markets.

Strong understanding of distributor ecosystems and project sales environments.

Experience: with power distribution products and solutions; busway knowledge is an advantage but not mandatory.

Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams.

Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
