This position is for a Commissioning Lead in Singapore.
What will you do?
Lead end‑to‑end commissioning activities for BMS across GMP and non‑GMP areas Develop and execute Commissioning Plans, IQ/OQ protocols, and traceability matrices Ensure correct integration of HVAC, utilities, cleanrooms, and process support systems into BMS Coordinate functional testing, alarm verification, trend validation, and system performance testing Support site acceptance testing (SAT) and system handover to operations Ensure alarms, trends, access control, and audit trails comply with GMP expectations Review and approve validation documentation, deviation reports, and change controls Review BMS functional design specifications (FDS), control philosophies, and network architectures Provide commissioning input during design stages to reduce rework and validation risk Support vendor FAT reviews and BMS software configuration assessments Ensure correct segregation and classification of GMP vs non‑GMP systems Act as primary technical interface between BMS vendors, system integrators, and project teams Coordinate commissioning schedules and readiness with construction, CQV, IT/OT, and QA teams Provide technical guidance and on‑site commissioning team during installation and testing Ensure complete, accurate, and inspection‑ready commissioning and validation documentation Support preparation of Summary Reports and system release packages Coordinate final system handover to facilities, automation, and operations teams Support SOP development, training, and post‑go‑live performance monitoring Identify commissioning and validation risks early and drive mitigation strategies Lead investigations into BMS & EMS deviations, failures, or performance issues Support root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or an equivalent engineering discipline. 7–12 years of experience in BMS, HVAC automation, or facilities systems Minimum 3–5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated life‑sciences environments Proven experience leading CSV, GAMP 5, and validation lifecycle management on Greenfield pharmaceutical facilities or major expansions Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and data integrity expectations Previous work experience as a senior automation/ control commissioning engineer and managing a large team of engineers is preferable.
Knowledge of DDC and Eco Struxure Building Operation.
Familiarity with HVAC systems: AHUs, VAVs, pressure cascades, temperature & humidity control Understanding of networks, servers, cybersecurity concepts related to OT systems
Experience: with Smartsheet and Microsoft Project (or similar) is a plus.
