We're looking for a passionate quality champion who can drive excellence across our supplier network and make a lasting impact on our organization's success.
What will you do: Drive supplier quality performance through monitoring, challenging, and implementing strategic improvement initiatives while leading critical business collaboration projects Conduct comprehensive supplier quality audits (SAM) and deploy quality referential standards according to SSQM process, including performance measurement frameworks and 8D methodology Lead resolution of complex quality issues through effective containment, correction, and prevention strategies while ensuring sustainable solutions Coach and mentor Supply Quality Engineers while managing escalated supplier quality concerns with strategic intervention Identify and mitigate potential quality risks through proactive analysis and preventive solution implementation Global SQD Batteries (Battery SQD) will be responsible for creation and execution of specific supplier processing standards related to all battery types (lead-acid, lithium-ion, battery packs,…), and developing Temporary Quality Walls and added process controls where supplier processing capability poses risks to SE and our customers.
Battery SQD will develop, lead, train, deploy the standards and technical audit checklists, and govern their compliance and effectiveness.
Using lessons-learned from recalls negatively impacting the business, adopt and adapt the learnings to educate the SQE community and bring control to this commodity.
Animate the network to continually evaluate risk and develop mitigating actions to prevent concerns for SE and our customers.
Ensure 100% coverage of battery suppliers related to supplier qualification, PPAPs and continuous improvement.
Effective outcomes will be: reduced concerns at customers and internally related to battery thermal events; controlled processes and demonstrated process capability at suppliers from raw material to finished product.
Strong leadership and technical competency is required.
GSC Supplier Quality Supervisor Influencing Director:
Function: Scope of action Multi-Regions · Global · All suppliers · No direct reports Strong strategic quality plans, aligned with procurement, that support SE growth in a space where battery supplier competencies are at risk due to relocations to developing areas.
Drives high level of control, auditing, inspections, and containment when concerns are identified following mission profiles and defined CTQs.
Requires leadership in problem-solving and guiding local teams.
Coaches teams in 8D completion and managing any customer events in addition to improving SQE expertise in the technology and critical quality tools (DOEs, SPC, …) Develops team competences and assigns continual roving support and monitoring and continuous improvement.
Manages SPCNs, Supplier Panel, Supplier development strategies, SQE development, Standards and Technical Requirements Let us learn about you!
