We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician in the West Chester, OH to support, maintain, and troubleshoot Building Automation and Control Systems for customers in the field.
This role is hands‑on, customer-facing, and critical to ensuring system performance and reliability.
What You Will Do Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on installed Building Automation and Control Systems Commission and start up newly installed control systems to ensure proper operation Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair control system wiring, hardware, and software Troubleshoot communication issues between control devices, controllers, and network components Create, load, test, and tune system databases and configuration files Install, replace, and recommission control system devices, equipment, and software Coordinate and oversee subcontractors as needed during field activities Provide on‑site customer training on system operation and functionality Delivery emergency and warranty service as required Create and maintain test records, service reports, and as-built documentation Follow all project site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?
Education: Two‑year degree from a college or technical school in a related field (Electrical, HVAC, Building Automation, Electronics, etc.)
Experience: 3+ years of related work experience in field service, HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems, or electrical/mechanical systems Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), Energy Management, or electronic control systems Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, and industry symbols Ability to interpret and analyze system schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences Understanding of electrical installation practices, low‑voltage wiring, and basic networking Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio Excellent customer service mindset and professional communication skills Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and team members Strong listening skills and the ability to collaborate with peers and stakeholders Let us learn about you!
