Position Summary The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes consistently produce products that meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
This role provides advanced technical leadership in root‑cause analysis, process capability, quality planning, and continuous improvement.
As a senior-level engineer, this position mentors junior quality staff, leads major quality initiatives, and partners closely with operations, engineering, and suppliers to drive world‑class quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Engineering & Continuous Improvement

Lead development and optimization of manufacturing quality processes, including PFMEA, control plans, capability studies, PPAP, and validation protocols.

Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
-
Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
-
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
-
Serve as the primary technical lead for complex quality investigations.
-
Use structured root‑cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, Fault Tree Analysis, etc.).
-
Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
-
Manufacturing Process Support
-
Provide engineering support to production lines to reduce scrap, improve process capability, and enhance product reliability.
-
Evaluate and qualify new equipment, tools, fixtures, and inspection methods.
-
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFM/A) and robust quality controls.

Quality Systems & Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to standards such as ISO 9001.

Lead internal audits and participate in customer and external audits.
-
Maintain accuracy of quality documentation including control plans, specifications, and procedures.

Leadership & Mentorship
-
Mentor quality engineers and technicians in quality tools, data analysis, and problem‑solving.

Lead cross‑functional teams on major improvement and compliance initiatives.
-
Support training programs on quality standards and methodologies.

Qualifications – Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.

5–8 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.

Strong understanding of PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and Gage R&R.
-
Proven leadership in cross‑functional problem‑solving.
-
Advanced data analysis skills (Minitab or similar).
-
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications – Preferred

Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
-
ASQ certifications such as CQE, CSSGB/CSSBB, or CQA. -
Experience: in automotive, aerospace, medical device, or electronics industries.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and complex measurement systems. -
Experience: with reliability engineering.
