Location: Kallang

The Role:

Procurement Intern Mission (About the Role) Support daily procurement operations, supplier management, cost optimization, and strategic sourcing initiatives for our manufacturing plant.

This role provides hands-on experience in end‑to‑end procurement cycles, data analytics, supplier interactions, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will gain real exposure to the manufacturing environment, commodity management, supply risk assessment, and cost analysis.

What will you do? 1.

Procurement Operations Support Support in resolving supply issues such as material delays, quantity discrepancies, or invoice mismatches.

Work closely with plant planners, warehouse, and suppliers to ensure material availability. 2.

Supplier Management & Communication Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, lead time confirmation, sample submissions, and documentation.

Support supplier performance monitoring (OTD, quality incidents, responsiveness).

Help prepare materials for supplier meetings or business reviews. 3.

Data Analytics & Reporting Maintain procurement databases, price lists, SAP master data, and supplier information.

Generate reports on spend, savings, project progress, MOQ/SPQ analysis etc.

Support automation or process improvement initiatives. 4.

Cross Functional Collaboration (Internship Learning Focus) Work with planning, engineering, quality, finance, and suppliers to support procurement decisions.

Learn negotiation basics by shadowing category managers and supplier meetings.

Build problem-solving skills through real case scenarios such as delivery recovery or cost improvement tasks.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or related fields.

Skill Set: Strong interest in procurement/supply chain and willingness to learn.

Good analytical skills; proficient in Excel (Power BI is an advantage).

Organized, detailoriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Good communication and teamwork mindset.

Customer-focused, proactive, and eager to take initiative.
