About the role
Mission: As an Employee Relations Advisor, your mission is to provide expert guidance and support on all aspects of employee relations across the UK & Ireland. You will partner with managers to navigate complex casework, including grievances, disciplinaries, redundancies, TUPE, probation, and performance improvement plans, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering clarity on employee relations policies and procedures and responding to queries to enable effective decision-making. As a key member of the HR Business Partnering community, you will champion best practices, foster collaboration, and drive consistency in employee relations approaches across the region, supporting a positive and legally compliant workplace culture. What will you do: Lead and manage complex employee relations cases across the UK & Ireland, including grievances, disciplinaries, appeals, redundancies, TUPE, probation, and performance improvement plans. Ensure cases are handled in line with company policies, employment law, and best practice, delivering fair and consistent outcomes. Coach and support managers through ER processes and investigations, including drafting invitation letters and outcome letters for cases managed (including those raised through Trust Line). Provide guidance to ensure compliance and consistency in approach. Assist managers with the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) process, including preparation and attendance at review meetings and formal meetings to provide ER expertise and ensure fair handling. Respond to employee relations policy and process queries escalated from HR Services, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Work closely with HR Business Partners to share best practices, ensure consistency of approach, and contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance employee relations across the UK & Ireland. Support the planning and delivery of ER compliance sessions and training for managers, promoting understanding of policies and fostering a culture of compliance and fairness. What will make you successful: Experience of working in a HR department in a variety of more junior roles across the HR model (e.g. HR Services, Talent, Reward) Ability to build strong relationships, offering the right balance of support and challenge to key stakeholders Strong Employee Relations background and experience of managing complex cases to a successful resolution Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the HR operating model and wider business Ability to work with & manage highly sensitive and confidential data Relentless drive & commitment to achieve results and challenge the status quo.
