Schneider Electric has an onsite opportunity (5 days a week) for a Plant Project Controller in El Paso, TX.
The role requires an on-site, in-plant presence – remote work will be allowed situationally and on an as needed basis, but the expectation of this position is that your on-site in plant presence will be required 5 days per week.
As a Plant Project Controller, you will be supporting our El Paso Campus NAM GSC ETO plants.
This role focuses on understanding and managing project actual costs across SWBD, LVDO, Metal Clad, and other Low/Medium Voltage Distribution offers.
Key Responsiblities Partner with Plant Project Management to drive visibility and performance of project and order results.
Develop and implement plant project controlling processes including cost variance, statutory insights, and order‑level controlling.
Collaborate with NAM Ops and NAM GSC stakeholders to advance project‑controlling transformation across ETO plants.
Support end‑to‑end project analysis and feedback cycles for GSC operations and Power Systems commercial teams.
Own Finance Business Partner role deliverables, focusing on GSC, labor, and freight for project‑related activities.
Support internal control and compliance programs, including monthly KIC cross‑audits and order‑lifecycle controls.
Conduct variance analysis of estimates, actuals, and forecasts, presenting insights to guide business decisions.
Support inventory control (E&O compliance, cycle counts, WIP analysis) and project‑related inventory impacts.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA/CPA.
Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing controlling or related financial roles.
Fluent in English.
Advanced technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, HFM/Hyperion/Essbase, SAP, SQL, and quick adaptability to new systems.
Strong Excel capabilities, including data manipulation and building reliable managerial insights from large datasets.
Skills & Abilities Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to connect performance to business strategy.
Self‑directed and able to independently advance work and next steps.
Effective at influencing operations teams and stakeholders beyond direct reporting lines.
Clear communicator who builds strong partnerships across all organizational levels.
Collaborative, able to engage and influence diverse teams to drive outcomes and gather insights.
Curious, adaptable, and capable of end‑to‑end thinking to support sound decision‑making.
Solid understanding of supply‑chain flows and their impact on financial performance and controls.
Preferences 2+ years of progressive financial experience in a manufacturing‑controlling environment.
Experience: supporting process or procedural transformations, including role or scope definition.
Background in supply‑chain operations support.
Experience: in financial project controlling or supporting project/solution‑based businesses. SAP or similar ERP experience.
Strong interest in supply‑chain and manufacturing environments, including the value of onsite presence.
Interest in process improvement, value creation, and long‑term sustainability.
Ambition to grow within Supply Chain, with a future path toward Plant Finance Business Partner / Plant Controller.
