The Role:

Join us as a Cooling Services Solution Application Expert, where you will shape the future of cooling modernization across data centers, high‑tech industries, and mission‑critical facilities.

In this role, you will partner with key customers to uncover opportunities, diagnose underperforming cooling systems, and design high‑impact modernization solutions using advanced mechanical, digital, and sustainable technologies.

What will you do?

Market & Customer Engagement Create services and modernization demand by engaging Strategic and Key Account end users in sectors such as Data Centers, Semiconductor, Industrial Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Transportation, and Utilities.

Identify opportunities to modernize old mechanical and cooling assets (e.g., legacy chiller plants, CRAC/CRAH units, Fan Wall retrofits, liquid cooling adoption) and work with Business Development team to convert Technical Expertise & Solution Design Design end-to-end cooling architectures and modernization plans leveraging Schneider Electric solutions and approved third‑party cooling technologies.

Analyze underperforming or aging cooling equipment and propose retrofit, replacement, or efficiency‑improvement solutions (e.g., EC fan upgrades, cooling tower optimization, chilled water loop redesign).

Perform preliminary engineering assessments in accordance with local and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, IEC where applicable).

Modernization & Services Growth Support sales and country teams in shaping cooling services strategy, including digital services for mechanical assets (e.g., predictive maintenance for chillers, monitoring for CRAH/CRAC, airflow analytics).

Convert customer pain points into actionable project scopes, emphasizing Recurring/Digital Services, Modernization.

Build the business case and value proposition for replacing outdated cooling equipment with energy-efficient, sustainable, and higher‑capacity solutions.

Internal Enablement & Community Leadership Elevate country specialists and PAEs by sharing best practices, design templates, technical training, and case studies related to cooling modernization and HVAC optimization.

Lead the technical community around cooling services, particularly related to: Mechanical cooling systems CRAC/CRAH modernization Fan Wall upgrades Liquid cooling for high-density workloads Data center HVAC optimization Digital & Consulting Services Promote Schneider digital solutions as part of the overall service offer.

Conduct high-level discussions to uncover expressed and unexpressed customer requirements around reliability, energy efficiency, resilience, and operational cost.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field.

Min 8–10 years of experience in cooling system design, HVAC engineering, mechanical equipment modernization, or data center cooling technologies.

Strong knowledge of: HVAC systems (chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs) CRAC/CRAH units and modernization methods Fan Wall / EC fan retrofits Liquid cooling solutions (direct‑to‑chip, immersion, hybrid environments) Controls, BMS, and cooling optimization algorithms Mechanical codes and standards such as ASHRAE and local regulations

Experience: performing energy audits, mechanical retrofits, or designing cooling systems for Data Centers or industrial process environments.

Ability to articulate modernization ROI, payback, operational risk reduction, and energy savings.

Experience: developing proposals, technical documentation, and conceptual designs for modernization projects.

Proven ability to influence customers at technical and management levels.

Strong collaboration skills with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.

Able to travel up to 60% across East Asia for customer engagements.
