Flow Controller – Manufacturing Supply Chain Planner Job Summary Join our dynamic Manufacturing Supply Chain team as a Flow Controller, a key role connecting material planning and execution to ensure operational continuity.
This position is responsible for securing material availability at the right time and place, balancing demand, capacity, supply, and inventory to prevent disruptions in manufacturing operations.
The Flow Controller acts as the bridge between planning and shopfloor execution, leveraging MRP processes, inventory optimization strategies, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.
What will you do?
Drive material replenishment strategies for raw materials, components, and/or finished goods using MRP systems.
Execute MRP planning and replenishment processes while optimizing inventory levels to meet service and cost objectives.
Define, maintain, and continuously adjust inventory parameters (safety stock, lead times, replenishment methods such as MRP, ROP, Kanban).
Actively manage a portfolio of purchase orders, including rescheduling, expediting, and supplier follow‑up.
Proactively identify and resolve material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and excess stock through root‑cause analysis.
Manage exception messages and alerts in ERP systems, including RED alert escalation to avoid line‑down situations.
Collaborate closely with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Production teams.
Translate planning outputs into daily shopfloor execution aligned with manufacturing schedules.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow and operational performance.
Ensure data accuracy and visibility using ERP, Control Tower and inventory management tools.
What will make you successful?
Proven experience working with MRP systems, inventory planning, and material management in a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain planning (demand, supply, inventory, SIOP fundamentals).
Strong ability to anticipate issues, manage exceptions, and act quickly in fast‑paced environments.
Analytical mindset with the ability to balance service level, inventory cost, and operational constraints.
Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
Experience: managing supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and escalation processes.
Comfortable working with ERP systems, planning tools, and inventory dashboards.
Detail‑oriented, proactive, execution‑focused, with a strong sense of ownership.
We are looking for someone with Strong analytical capabilities and high attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting (knowledge of BI or data visualization tools is a plus).
Curiosity and eagerness to learn manufacturing operations and end‑to‑end supply chain processes.
Clear communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Problem‑solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field. 3+ years experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Languages English: Upper Intermediate to Advanced (required to collaborate with regional/global teams).
