The Senior SAP BTP & AI Architect is responsible for designing, guiding and implementing intelligent, enterprise-grade solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform. The role combines advanced architecture work with hands-on experience in SAP products and AI/LLM capabilities. This position supports SAP’s AI-First, Suite-First strategy, enabling measurable customer outcomes, accelerating innovation adoption and driving value realization.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior SAP BTP & AI Architect acts as a trusted advisor for customers and partners, promoting the adoption of SAP Build and AI technologies in alignment with company strategy. The role is responsible for defining and guiding clean core and cloud ready architectures using SAP BTP, CAP or ABAP Cloud and AI, as well as delivering short- and mid-term proof-of-concept engagements to validate technical approaches and accelerate innovation. The architect provides product and use case guidance to customers and partners while ensuring high-quality and consistent architectural recommendations. Internally, the architect is recognized as an expert in SAP Build and AI, supporting teams with deep domain knowledge, best practices and innovation patterns. The role contributes to customer value realization in cloud-first engagement models and collaborates across SAP teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution, supporting simplification, scale and profitable cloud growth.
Required Skills and Experience

Extensive hands-on experience with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, Kyma).

Strong architecture and development background in SAP CAP or RAP, CDS and Fiori/UI5.

Deep understanding of clean core extensibility concepts.

Hands-on experience with SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad.

General understanding of identity management and access governance using SAP Cloud Identity Services.
Nice-to-Have Skills
-
Experience integrating AI into enterprise applications using CAP, event-driven patterns and BTP services.

Deep hands-on expertise in IAS/IPS and XSUAA identity management.

Experience with LLM frameworks (MCP Servers/Clients, Lang Chain, etc).

Experience with SAP Event Mesh, Workflow Management or Process Automation.

Understanding of cloud-native concepts (Kubernetes, Kyma, containers).

Knowledge of S/4HANA data models and released APIs.
Soft Skills
