We’re looking for an expert with deep understanding of enterprise workloads on Kubernetes and Application Security to help build and secure our SAP applications in a containerized, cloud-native environment. This role is innovation focussed and will involve designing, deploying, and maintaining SAP applications on Kubernetes while ensuring the security and scalability of the environment.

What you`ll build

As a “IT Architecture Senior Specialist” in ECS CAE Service Engineering

• Engineering and prototyping of new services as part of the ECS CTO innovation and engineering process.

• Take the role of a named Architect for large customers as part of their Enhanced Operations Service contract running SAP workloads.

• Perform or support technical/architectural projects for SAP Enterprise Cloud Services.

• Interact with Pre-Sales and Sales on deal requirements (customer focused solution design).

• Support ECS Delivery and ECS Customer Delivery Engagement in critical customer situations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP on Kubernetes: Lead the deployment and orchestration of SAP systems on Kubernetes. Optimize configurations, manage clusters, and implement container orchestration solutions that align with SAP workloads.

• Container Management: Oversee containerization and management of SAP applications, leveraging tools like Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes. Ensure efficient resource utilization and scalability.

• Security & Compliance: Develop and enforce security best practices for SAP applications and containerized environments. Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage application security across the container lifecycle.

• Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with SAP, DevOps, and security teams to implement solutions that meet performance and security requirements. Troubleshoot issues in container orchestration and application deployment.

• Automation & Optimization: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments of SAP applications on Kubernetes, ensuring faster, more reliable delivery.

What you bring

• 14+ years of experience in the IT industry as an SAP Basis Consultant, ideally with exposure to containerization and Kubernetes.

• Strong knowhow on Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies and orchestrating workloads on Kubernetes clusters on SAP Gardner.

• Familiarity with security framework, vulnerability assessment tools, Observability for container workloads and practices specific to containerized applications.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure automation.
