We are looking for a senior seasoned machine learning scientist to join our team at SAP Concur to deliver world class applied AI solutions to millions of users. We solve real-world challenges faced by SAP’s global customers with scalable and robust AI-augmented user experiences. This position is at the forefront of innovation and ambitious AI roadmap of SAP Concur. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, and have a passion for applied AI systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven hands-on experience with ML / deep learning frameworks, NLP, LLMs and agents

Strong track record in experimentation and evaluation of ML / AI models, LLMs and agents

Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform, AWS preferred

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL:

Demonstrated ability to drive decisions using a data-driven mindset

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with agentic systems and frameworks

Experience with LLM fine-tuning, distillation, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, grounding techniques

Experience with ML model / LLM deployment and productionization

Tasks:

In this job, you will work closely with our Concur Spend AI team and the Spend product team to deliver real-world, high user-impact AI-driven product features in Finance and Spend domain. Specifically, you will

Explore, implement, experiment and evaluate the most recent LLMs and agentic frameworks in AI field for our use cases;

Push the frontiers of applied AI with real-world data and application.

Work with interdisciplinary teams of developers, designers, and business experts to develop solutions with real measurable customer impact.

Help to ensure performance, reliability and ongoing improvement of our model deliverables in continuous collaboration with development teams.
