Job – Summary
The Success Services team member is a delivery specialist in Success Plans responsible for supporting delivery execution and operational excellence across the portfolio.
This role provides business insight, analytical support, and coordination across stakeholders to ensure delivery performance and financial targets are achieved. The individual works closely with delivery leaders, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to enable efficient processes, transparency, and continuous improvement and to bring business and delivery management experience to key Success Management Office (SMO) stakeholders
Key responsibilities of the SMO function include:
- Provides clear insights to the health of the Market Unit and Solution Area Success Plan portfolio
- Drive delivery performance and oversight of Success Plans
- Ensure all delivery engagements operate to drive the key financial KPI of cACV
- Strengthen alignment of regional and global initiatives to Market Units and Solution Areas through:
- Driving Simplification and standardization at all levels
- Enablement and roll out of delivery standards, methods and tools
- Manage Delivery Score Card & KPIs
The SMO Regional Team Member operates with integrity, openness and transparency within Services. They maintain active participation in internal and customer engagement governance structures and forums. A strong relationship builder, they develop trustful relationships with SAP Management across the full Market Unit and Solution Area delivery portfolio.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks General:
- Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and fast-paced changing environment
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Problem-solving and critical thinking capability
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Build strong working relationships with delivery teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Competence in clear, concise, tactful communication with diverse audiences, including senior executive management
- Support preparation of presentations, communications, and governance materials
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder updates
Success Plan Management:
- Tightly monitor SP Delivery Score, cACV and other key metrics across the MU Success Plan portfolio, work with the portfolio owner to take corrective action to ensure commitments are met.
- Provides insights through collecting and analysing data points from our various internal data sources, and presenting results in a way that informs our management team of overall health and supports decision making
- Understand the engagement status quickly and be able to identify and provide transparency on key issues and risks and develop appropriate action plans. Actively support and manage risk to prevent escalations
- Actively participate in Governance forums with the Success Plan stakeholders, Market Unit and Regional Leadership,
- Ensure tracking, setup, and onboarding of new Success Plan engagements into systems, governance processes and initial delivery
Operational Excellence
- Contribute to process simplification and standardisation initiatives
- Ensure tracking and realization of the cACV targets and other KPIs
- Ensure quality of data points in our core systems through regular auditing and presentation of results to the Success Plan responsible persons.
