What you’ll build:

In this role, you'll be part of a small engineering team in Brno, working closely with cross-site teams in Walldorf to deliver and evolve data integration technologies within the Technology Foundation at the ABAP Platform. You'll take ownership of development tasks - from understanding requirements and designing solutions to implementing, testing, and delivering high-quality code. Alongside development, you'll handle support tasks - analyzing and resolving customer incidents, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the stability and reliability of existing integration solutions. This gives you deep insight into real-world usage and strengthens your technical expertise. You'll collaborate with your Engineering Manager, Product Management, and peers in Walldorf to clarify requirements, align on technical approaches, and ensure smooth cross-site delivery. On the technical side, you'll deepen your expertise in ABAP-based integration technologies, contribute to architectural discussions, and help drive quality standards within the team. You'll be encouraged to explore emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the table. This is an opportunity to grow as a specialist in one of SAP's most foundational technology areas - with real impact on how customers move and transform data at enterprise scale.

What you bring:

You are a hands-on developer with a passion for clean code and a curiosity for data integration challenges.

• Solid software engineering skills with experience in ABAP or willingness to build deep ABAP expertise

• Interest or experience in data integration technologies

• Ability to work independently on complex tasks while collaborating effectively in a cross-site team

• Strong analytical thinking - you break down problems and deliver well-structured solutions

• Good communication skills in an international environment

• Eagerness to learn, grow, and take ownership of your work
