We are looking for a Senior AI Developer to join our team building AI-powered capabilities for SAP Sales Performance Management (SPM). You will work on next-generation intelligent solutions including AI agents, recommendation systems, predictive insights, conversational experiences, and automation capabilities integrated into enterprise SaaS applications.
As part of our global engineering organization, you will play a key role in shaping the AI strategy and architecture across the SPM portfolio. This includes designing and implementing AI services, integrating LLM-based capabilities, enabling intelligent workflows, and collaborating closely with product, engineering, UX, and data teams to bring AI-driven experiences into production at enterprise scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain AI-powered services and applications for SAP SPM solutions
• Develop intelligent agents, copilots, and conversational AI capabilities integrated into enterprise workflows
• Build integrations with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI orchestration frameworks, and external AI services
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to define and implement AI use cases and experiences
• Develop APIs, backend services, and orchestration layers supporting AI-driven functionality
• Work with vector databases, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Design scalable and secure AI workflows for enterprise SaaS environments
• Optimize AI model interactions for performance, accuracy, cost, and reliability
• Contribute to AI governance, security, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices
• Troubleshoot complex AI and distributed system issues and drive continuous improvements
• Contribute to technical architecture, proof of concepts, and AI innovation initiatives across the organization
• Mentor engineers and help establish AI engineering standards, tooling, and development best practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including experience building AI-powered applications or services
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Experience integrating and working with LLMs and AI APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or similar platforms
• Understanding of AI orchestration patterns, agents, prompt engineering, and tool calling workflows
• Experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed applications
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and RAG architectures
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and modern development workflows
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, and security principles
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a quality-first mindset
• Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor team members, and collaborate across global teams

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI agents, copilots, or autonomous workflow systems
• Familiarity with MCP servers, Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Experience with enterprise SaaS applications and multi-tenant architectures
• Exposure to SAP technologies and enterprise business processes
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines, fine-tuning, or model evaluation workflows
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and optimization of AI workloads
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as Angular or React for AI-integrated user experiences • Experience mentoring engineers or leading AI initiatives across multiple teams
• Passion for emerging AI technologies, innovation, and building practical AI solutions for enterprise users
