As a market leader in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP’s customers have large and diverse spectrum of sustainability needs - reporting of different types of wastes (product packaging, batteries, consumer devices) in conjunction with countries legislations, country specific eco-fees calculations, calculations of plastic and other waste-reducing taxes (e.g. EU plastic tax), redesign of products to reduce waste, sourcing of recycle materials, re-engineering of production and supply chain processes to reduce carbon footprint. The Circular Economy business applications aim to provide tailored solutions to each sustainability needs by leveraging the power of SAP HANA database and cloud delivery model.

To meet our customers’ requirements, we are setting up a new team to develop the Circular Economy solution as business application running on top of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). For this team we are looking for a talented, creative, team-oriented and highly motivated Developers. The team in Sofia is a strong contributor to the development of the SAP Sustainability business portfolio. We value professional skills as much as teamwork, trust, collaboration and creativity.

What you’ll do:

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (3 times a week office attendance is mandatory)

Working schedule: full-time or part-time (30 hrs/week)

Student status is mandatory

Start date: asap (6 months contract)

In this role, you’ll:

Be part of SCRUM team working with teams from other countries

• Developer full stack cloud solution using cutting-edge technologies
• SAPUI5, Cloud Application Programming Model, Spring, Java, SAP HANA database

Participate in the architecture, design, proof-of-concept, implementation, validation, cloud operations and monitoring of the solution. We do not limit the interns to certain tasks only!

Gain invaluable professional skills by following agile best practices and process – test driven development, integration testing, continues integration and deployment, exploratory testing

Receive continuous guidance and feedback from experienced team members

Deliver tangible software increments facing real customers with substantial impact on the Environment

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Student in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Natural Science, or a related discipline

Excellent understanding of programming fundamentals and OOP with Java

Very good analytical and problem-solving skills

Very good spoken and written English
