What You'll Build
As a Senior Application Engineer, you'll lead enterprise digital transformation, crafting solutions for transitioning from SAP ECC systems to S/4HANA Cloud platforms with clean, migration-ready data. Your work transforms how thousands of global customers modernize their operations, architecting intelligent data management to assess data health and provide automated remediation.
You'll develop AI-powered features refining error detection and build systems that shift data preparation to proactive, intelligent automation. Leveraging cloud technologies and microservices, your solutions will set new standards for enterprise cloud transitions.
Beyond coding, you'll make strategic design decisions shaping data management solutions, collaborate with product managers and architects, mentor developers on complex challenges, establish best practices, and ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, and enterprise-grade.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices for data management and S/4HANA transitions

Tackle complex technical challenges, making key architectural and design decisions

Provide technical leadership and mentorship through code reviews and pair programming

Collaborate with international teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Partner with product management and stakeholders to define requirements and strategies
-
Build full-stack solutions using Java, Spring, and cloud technologies
-
Optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and develop automated testing strategies
What You Bring
Required:
-
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
-
5+ years in software development, with expertise in Java and Spring Framework as a full-stack developer
-
Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native development
-
Understanding of microservices, RESTful API design, and event-driven architectures
-
Strong knowledge of databases, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
-
Ability to mentor developers and conduct effective code reviews
Preferred:
-
Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP), SAPUI5/Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
-
Knowledge of enterprise data migration, ETL, and data quality management
-
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
-
Understanding of AI/ML technologies in enterprise software

Experience with additional programming languages like Python

Knowledge of enterprise security and quality best practices
