What you`ll do
Summary:
We are looking for a top-notch experienced (Senior) AI Developer to support our agile AI development team in designing, building and deploying enterprise-grade Agentic AI and ML solutions for SAP’s internal business organizations.
The Role:

Work with a global, agile team of data scientists, AI/ML engineers and software engineers on Agentic AI and ML solutions as well as on the E2E lifecycle

Drive the development process of cutting edge data science and AI solutions and lead the development, maintenance and optimization of Agentic AI architectures and solutions across business domains
-
Design, develop and deploy AI services and solutions from proof of concept to full enterprise production
-
Execute enterprise-grade LLMOps and MLOps: continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous training for our AI models and Agentic workflows
-
Drive architectural decisions for enterprise grade AI solutions
-
Ensure reliability, observability and compliance of deployed AI solutions
-
Guide and mentor junior colleagues to foster AI engineering excellence across teams
-
Keep up-to-date with state-of-the-art algorithms and technologies in Agentic AI and ML and act as a thought leader in the AI and engineering space
What you bring
We are looking for a driven and motivated team player with at least a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields. You should have multiple years of experience in Python programming and in distributed computing frameworks. Additionally, solid experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud infrastructure is required. An enterprise-grade background with a wide range of ML/AI algorithms, statistical models and ML/AI architectures rounds off the profile. In more detail, candidates should have exceptional skills in:

Advanced coding skills in Python (preferred) or Java, with solid understanding of software engineering principles

Experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and microservice architectures
-
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, MLFlow)
-
Experience implementing CI/CD and MLOps pipelines in cloud environments (Azure ML, Databricks, AWS)
-
Hands-on experience with data ETL, APIs and model deployment workflows
-
Knowledge of distributed systems and data platforms for big data
-
Understanding of Agile, SAFe methodologies and collaborative engineering practices
-
Fluent English and a proactive, problem solving mindset; good German language skills desirable
Nice to have but not a must:
-
Experience with multi-agent or generative AI frameworks (e.g., Lang Chain, CrewAI)
-
Familiarity with SAP AI Core, SAP BTP
-
Experience with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) and project management tools (e.g., Jira)
These skills are a plus. If you don’t have experience in all these areas, we’ll provide the resources and training you need to become a leader in cutting-edge AI technologies.
