Emergency Response Technician provides all hazards emergency response (hazmat, medical, support for rescue, fire and environmental incidents) and Incident Command to the Samsung site. The Technician reviews and signs restricted work permits (confined space, hot work and other hazards) to follow compliance regulations. This employee also provides training as the main instructor in areas like CPR First Aid, fall protection, emergency response and communications. This position serves as a first responder and liaison to all other EHS teams, Samsung departments and outside first responders like fire department and emergency medical services during emergency response and incidents.

Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Incident command and support HAZMAT, rescue, medical and firefighting operations in the event of an emergency.

• Plan emergency response drills.

• Prepare and calibrate equipment used to collect and analyze samples. -Sign and review restricted work permits in the field.

• Instructor level for multiple training on site, included CPR First Aid, Fall Protection, Hazmat operations and others.

• Cross collaboration in the field with other EHS teams. Samsung Departments and other companies before, during and after emergency situations.

• Work shift: A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesday.

Skills and Qualifications Here's what you'll need:

• Minimum of 2 years Emergency Response / First Responder / Military experience.

• Preferred previous experience with manufacturing or construction environment.

• Microsoft Office, Basic to Intermediate skills.

• Effective written/verbal communication within the organization.

• Multitask and adapt quickly to change.

• Work off-hours if necessary.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 - $45.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
