We are searching for a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to join our Program Management Leadership team located in Rockford, IL. The individual will be responsible for supporting the Spearfish, D5, and Abrams product teams. The DPM will assist the Program Manager in leading and growing the Power product lines. The DPM will work closely with the program management team (PMT) to ensure achievement of the strategic objectives and customer commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on Profit and Loss of the programs
  • Leads risk and opportunity management for the programs and drive mitigating strategies
  • Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests
  • Develops, maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project/program to internal executive leadership and customers, including but not limited to Program Management Reviews
  • Implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality, specifically utilizing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), lean, or six sigma methodology
  • Identifies and addresses program problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of programs
  • Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the customer program objectives
  • Manages suppliers, when necessary, to support the program

Travel Requirements: 10-20%, includes domestic

Qualifications

You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience working with operations, quality, manufacturing, and engineering organizations
  • Continuous Improvement experience – CORE, Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent

Role Type Details

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $107,500 USD - $204,500 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
