We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Global Trade, who will support and manage export/import licensing activities within Raytheon's Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) business. In this role, you will provide guidance to the LADS portfolio in all facets of export/import requirements and authorizations covered by both the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). You will collaborate closely with diverse functional groups across the organization and championing compliant business practices in the intricate landscape of export and import regulations.

This position reports to the LADS, Medium Range Air Defense Sr. Manager and is responsible for working with the LADS Global Trade Team and LADS Stakeholders to develop strategies to support international programs and business development capture efforts. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and collaborate with multiple business functions for success.

Please note that this is an export licensing position, not a shipping and logistics position and requires global trade licensing experience.

What You Will Do

  • Provide export/import licensing guidance and license portfolio management guidance
  • Support the business with developing export/import licensing strategies to enable business growth
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations requirements and drafting
  • Review, prepare, submit, and manage various Export/Import Authorizations (Licenses: DSP-5, DSP-85, DSP-73, DSP-61, DOC licenses; Agreements: MLAs and TAAs; Exemptions/Exceptions) to authorize the transfer of regulated hardware, technical data, software, and services
  • Review and approve export transactional requests involving engineering support services, meetings, employee travel, visitor access, technical data/defense service exports, and hardware exports
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to interpret and explain export compliance requirements such as license/agreement provisos, export regulations, and Raytheon export policies and procedures
  • Assist with investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures

What You Will Learn

  • Master the art of providing insightful guidance on licensing strategies and portfolio management, and preparing correct, complete and compliant export authorization requests to fuel the growth of our business
  • Evaluate risks related to international trade
  • Play a pivotal role in contributing to the continuous improvement of our licensing and compliance processes

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience in drafting Department of State and/or Department of Commerce license and agreement applications and other authorization requests
  • Experience with DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR EASE, and/or other automated licensing and compliance systems and/or resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently or direct prior experience as an Empowered Official
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to develop effective networks with internal customers and ability to collaborate with multiple business functions for success
  • Strong time management, prioritization, analytical and organizational skills, with ability to meet deadlines and achieve desired results
  • Problem solver, able to work under time sensitive circumstances, collaboratively or independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-versed experience with Global Trade systems such as SAP systems

Work Arrangement

This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
