About the Role
This is a 1-year contract (maternity cover) opportunity supporting core finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, including review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with SOX and company policies.
- Monitor operating expenses, manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning, and review CAPEX requests with ROI tracking.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes; analyze actuals versus budget and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
- Act as a finance business partner to functional and operational teams, providing financial guidance and supporting strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Coordinate with tax advisors on direct and indirect tax matters and lead internal and external audits, including resolution of audit findings.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications
Must Have
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant finance experience, operating at Manager level.
- Hands-on experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to work independently and step into a role with minimal handover.
Preferred
- Experience in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Exposure to cost management, cash flow, and CAPEX evaluation.
- Prior experience in a structured, compliance-driven or multinational environment.
- Aerospace or adjacent industry experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability.
