Primary Responsibilities

  • Learn to handle optics, read blueprints, and use measuring equipment
  • Utilize calibrated equipment as part of the manufacturing process
  • Follow work flow instructions from Supervision/Group Leads
  • Use good visual acuity to identify imperfections in parts or assemblies
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform basic data entry and computer work
  • Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture
  • Paint application of both Black and Silver Bus Bar via Emulsion Screen Paint Printer (DEK)
  • Measure paint dimension via CMM
  • Measure resistivity of Silver Bus Bar
  • Ensure glass quality is assessed and maintained
  • Operate DEK Paint Screen Printing Machine
  • Operate the paint Oven
  • Parts inspection
  • Operate Thin Film chamber
  • Operate Ultrasonic and Scribe machine

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Basic computer literacy and confidence using technology
  • Ability to understand technical issues and make sound decisions
  • Comfortable working with the metric system
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Self-motivated with a consistently positive attitude
  • Capable of working day or afternoon shifts and remaining seated or standing for extended periods

Security Requirements

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government's Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. In order to obtain the required security clearance, candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements. Job offers will be conditional upon candidates undergoing a successful security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations and the Contract Security Program.
