About the Role

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking an Electronic Protection Agile Product Owner to support the Long Range Radars (LRR) department. The LRR department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensors to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance. This position is onsite in Woburn, MA.

Responsibilities

The Electronic Protection (EP) team is responsible for executing system performance gap analyses, trade studies, architecture definition, design, prototyping, software development, integration, and test and analysis for new or enhanced system capabilities. As the Electronic Protection (EP) Product Owner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a subset of Systems and Software Engineering scope for the AN/TPY-2 Programs
  • Overseeing the technical, cost, and schedule performance of your team, including task planning, milestone creation, scheduling, and earned value tracking
  • Managing competing priorities to ensure successful execution
  • Building and enhancing the capabilities of your team and effectively collaborating with both internal and external customers
  • Supporting proposal efforts in support of new business and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with radar systems technology in the areas of design, analysis, and/or systems engineering development
  • Experience in overseeing and/or monitoring technical cost and schedule performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience interfacing with customers and developing technical solutions to complex user requirements
  • Familiarity with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs
  • Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staffing planning
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) processes and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, and CDR)
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum development practices
  • Experience with missile defense systems, particularly large, complex systems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics
  • An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a relevant discipline

Compensation

Salary Range: $86,800 USD - $165,200 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  • Role Type Definition: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
