We're seeking an experienced Sr. Engineer, Project Engineering professional to join our team and drive the success of key initiatives. In this role, the individual must demonstrate thorough knowledge in Project Management, develop project plans and budgets, proactively identify problems and risks, recommend and drive solutions, document and escalate project delays, perform critical path analysis, and present project progress reports with limited or no guidance or supervision. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location.

What You Will Do

  • Manage large to mega projects or processes
  • Create and maintain project plans for assigned projects/programs
  • Use advance tools to track daily progress of all project tasks to ensure on time delivery to commitment
  • Coordinate and lead required activities with all other functional areas maintaining a single source of priorities with the other project engineers (e.g. machine shop, facilities, operations)
  • Own change management for assigned projects/programs including revising and documenting Deviations, CDRs and CRs
  • Schedule / lead project meetings with other team members and functional areas, as needed, to provide status and align priorities
  • Participate on Operations Tier Meetings, as needed, to communicate priorities or support required for projects
  • Collect production readiness evidence including but not limited to SMT program status, stencils designs, tooling/fixtures documents, material complete analysis, thermal profiling, etc.
  • Submit eCARs and WBS requests for post award efforts as required
  • Identify and resolve risks/roadblocks, using advance risk management techniques, to minimize impact to project schedules
  • Proactively communicate and escalate risks or support required during the project phases
  • Identify and drive mistake proofing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Actively participate on Project/Program's meetings when required
  • Keep effective and clear communication with Programs
  • Work closely with Producibility Engineer for deviations, CRs, CDRs and any product or process change
  • Use advance tools to track project constraints (scope, time, cost, and quality) and develop plans to keep them in balance
  • Work closely with the NPI team members and other functional areas to ensure applicable requirements are met and a smooth transition to production release
  • Ensure safety precautions are followed on all projects and daily activities
  • Implement and maintain 5S methodology on office areas
  • Provide mentoring to lower-level project engineers or professionals on technical knowledge, project management tools, and communication strategies to ensure successful completion of projects

Required Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications

  • Program Management certification, as well as proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and successfully leading projects from initiation through completion
