About the Role
Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to support our Power & Controls Operations ECS organization. We're looking for an experienced professional, like you, to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. If you're a problem solver with a passion for Project Engineering, we want to hear from you! This position will sit at our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location.
This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage medium to large programs, budgets and schedules
- Maintain and present project health
- Lead electrical components investigations
- Lead SRI burndown to ensure efficient execution
- Coordinate efforts that can include engineering changes to address SRIs
- Work closely with a multifunctional team to meet defined requirements, mitigate risks, and ensure milestones are achieved

Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience leading and managing multifunction Engineering projects
- Experience managing New products Introduction, Sustainment initiatives, engineering changes, and/or obsolescence
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in project engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense
- Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, align members with project goals, and drive progress toward milestones
- Experience communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through written reports and verbal presentations
- Proven ability to convey project status, risks, and solutions to senior leadership and customers
- Experience creating clear, concise, and well-structured technical documents, reports, and proposals, including requirements, design details, and testing procedures
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project), with the ability to create detailed reports, presentations, schedules, and project tracking documents
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or in a similar role managing project budgets, earned value management (EVM), and reporting financial performance in alignment with program goals
