About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Final Inspection (FX) Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA. This is a full-time, Second Shift position (Weekday Evenings).
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of complex inspection procedures and related paperwork
- Develop expertise to resolving inspection process problems
- Set-up and operate equipment
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance
- Maintain all required certifications
- Training and/or education in Quality processes or its equivalent, including on the job training in visual, dimensional inspections, receiving, and final inspections
- Responsible for signing off product inspected
- Conduct daily walk around of equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of inspection area
- Be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
- Daily information gathering on parts in Quality cells
- Help set expectations based on incoming WIP
- Communicate with other departments
- Assist in closure of issues which prevent nonconforming material from disposition
- Prevent material from final inspection
- Identify nonconformities in process and product
- Explain nonconformities
- Write detailed descriptions of nonconformities for Engineering evaluation
- Engage in RCCA activities
- Create and close inspection lots
- Set daily priority for sonic cell
- Understand fundamentals of UT inspection
- Troubleshoot tanks/programs/process
- Interface with technical teams (QPE, ME, etc.) to ensure inspectors have what they need to meet production goals
- Communicate across shifts effectively
- Accelerate the processing of F3887s
- Provide Solumina support for forge/heat treat/machining cells and process tryouts
- Support entire shop with holds/inspections in rMRP
- Follow all EH&S rules and guidelines
- Work in a team environment
- Handle multi-tasking duties
Qualifications You Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be flexible on shift schedule
- Must be able to obtain Final Inspection Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney qualifications
Qualifications We Value
- Two to five years' experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment
- Technical degree preferred
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures
- Understanding of internal and external customer requirements
- High attention to detail in resolving findings
- Good organizational skills

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
