About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and driven Engineering Mentoring and Apprentice Program Lead to expand, implement, and oversee the mentoring and apprentice programs to enhance the technical skills and professional growth of our engineering teams. This role involves developing strategies to enhance mentoring initiatives, fostering professional development, and overseeing the successful implementation of the apprenticeship program.

An ideal candidate for this role would possess a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in program management, along with a strong ability to foster collaboration and support professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the expansion, implementation, and management of engineering mentoring and apprenticeship programs
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify mentoring and apprentice program needs
  • Develop training materials and resources to support both mentors and apprentices
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring and apprenticeship initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Act as a liaison between the engineering organization and HR to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to mentors and apprentices, addressing challenges and ensuring a positive experience
  • Champion a culture of knowledge-sharing and professional growth

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Engineering Management
  • Experience managing Career Development Programs

Preferred

  • Experience as a practicing engineer or in a technical role prior to transitioning into Learning and Development (L&D)
  • Certifications such as Program Management, or relevant L&D certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Talent Development)
  • Master's degree in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Engineering Management, or a related field

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $107,500 USD - $204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Additional Information

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
