Raytheon's Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support these customer requirements. As a Production Test Engineer (PTE), you'll apply your skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams.

This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon's East Camden, AR facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in development of Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs
  • Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
  • Dispositioning non-conforming material using root cause and corrective action analysis and working on corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
  • Assisting with driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate and reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Core / Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
  • Assisting with tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes
  • Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Engineering and/or manufacturing experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with automated tooling, machinery and programming and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines and an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
  • Knowledge and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques
  • Ability to work in a team environment with the organizational skills needed to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with Refurbishment and Repair requirements and processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE)
  • Current DoD security clearance (secret)

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  • This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
