Job Description:

The AP Regional Industry Consultant- Chemical Oil and Gas is a new role that brings in deep domain expertise for Chemical and Oil & Gas industy through their vast experience and thought leadership on the industry/ segment.

You will support sales teams articulate outcome-based messages to the “C suite” at customer.

You will be a partner with regional marketing and sub- regional leadership teams on jointly creating a short/ mid- term strategy.

You will be partnering with regional functions (MA/Commercial ops) for enhancing RA's coverage and competency in the said segment/ industry.

You will be also responsible to support key company/ regional initiatives, working closely with the global Industry leadership team.

You will report to the DIRECTOR- INDUSTRY AND OEM, ASIA PACIFIC.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will provide domain expertise on industry/ segment requirement and understand customers and their business challenges.
  • You will deliver talks around emerging industry/segment trends and how they are relevant for a particular customer, the business benefits associated with these and how Rockwell can help achieve these outcomes.
  • You will deliver initial plant walk and initiate consulting services to drive customer outcomes (productivity/OEE/Optimization/ROI).
  • You will support sales in building C- level engagement for target accounts by driving business outcome discussions and be an advisory to identify necessary ecosystem to deliver outcomes.
  • Single contact for global Industry to launch and support key company initiatives (Strategic accounts/Process/CE/CS etc.) and interface on critical projects.· Coordinate with Marketing and participate in Industry forums and tradeshows - speaking engagements and delivering white papers.
  • Coordinate with Market access and support SI/Partner's enablement (training and credentialing) through industry domain knowledge.
  • Coordinate with Market access and sales; Identify gaps in industry coverage and identify partner to fill those gaps.
  • rovide Industry insights and value preposition to marketing/sales enablement for competency development (C level messaging / playbooks)
  • Deliver knowledge sharing through Industry affinity team calls through Marketing.· Provide industry performance insights during QPR.
  • Coordinate with Sales leadership and support Industry influenced accounts in the region (focused and strategic) and their C level relationships to develop them as future potential Enterprise accounts.
  • Advise business units /marketing to identify and build Industry repeatable application/ solutions.
  • Support marketing to build Industry BSR and definition of winning across the region; and monitor execution.
  • Support Business units and Provide insight on Solution and technology gaps.

The Essentials

You Will Have:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering or other technical fields.
  • Minimum 10 -15 years of experience in Chemical and Oil and Gas industry with solid Domain knowledge in the relevant industry and commercial experience is must.
  • Very high degree of customer orientation.
  • Strong self- drive and ability to create a mindshare by being seen as a thought leader.
  • Intermediate level of expertise on our / equivalent products portfolios. w Intermediate level of expertise in Training. w Intermediate expertise in Prospecting & New Customer Development, w Project / Implementation Management and Sales Fundamentals with a basic level of expertise in Market Research & Analysis (Market & Economic Trends, Customer Buying Behavior, Competitor Research)
  • The ability to manage complex, multi-month projects and personnel. Proven track record in delivering white papers and case studies.
  • Exhibits proficiency and for project performance and meeting customer needs.
  • Geographic understanding of AP as a region.
  • Bilingual language skills for Mandarin and English.
  • Travel greater than 30% of time (global travel may be required).
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, with very high orientation towards collaborative winning.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience of working in a matrix environment and have handled team of 5-10 direct/indirect reportees.
  • High-level program management capabilities to put the structures and align the activities to be done.
  • Support Region/sub regions meet/exceed AOP for Chemical, Oil & Gas industry/ segment.
  • Lead/Win complex strategic pursuits throughout the sales cycle.
  • Create Chemical, Oil & Gas community and provide thought leadership within Rockwell through leading the projects.
  • Participate in key identified marketing events to present RA value proposition.
