Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript to join our dynamic team. You are passionate about building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring product quality, and collaborating across teams to deliver reliable solutions. You have hands-on experience in functional, regression, and integration testing, with a solid understanding of Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing environments.

You will report to the Engineering Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable automated test scripts using Cypress.

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the quality and stability of web applications.

• Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution by working closely with development teams.

• Continuously optimize and improve automation frameworks to enhance test coverage, performance, and maintainability.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing improvement of QA standards, tools, and best practices.

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain accurate, up-to-date test plans and documentation.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 4–6 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer, Automation Engineer, or in a similar role.

• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.

• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.

• Experience with API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and cloud-based testing environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

• Experience with additional automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.

• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing concepts.

• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.

• Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo.

• Knowledge of code and security analysis tools such as Sonar Qube and Black Duck.
