Job Description:

Our paid Software Development Internship program typically lasts 3-6 months. It is an opportunity to deep dive into the software development environment and development techniques with one of our teams. You will partner with full-time employees working on existing front-end toolkit in an Agile environment. You will experience a variety of software engineering knowledge areas including design-driven development and test automation. Intern will have a dedicated mentor to help navigate Rockwell, ramp up in our codebase, and remove daily blockers.

This paid, part-time role reports to the Team Lead, Research & Development. You will start your internship in April/May/June 2026, and you will work onsite in Czech Republic, Prague, for 20 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of a reusable front‑end UI toolkit used across Rockwell Automation products.
• Enhance automated UI tests using the Playwright testing framework.
• Collaborate with designers to update and improve UI toolkit documentation.
• Deliver defined milestones as part of the development process.
• Learn through practical experience and collaboration with the team.

The Essentials

You Will Have:

• Basic software development skills.
• Basic knowledge of: JavaScript and CSS and HTML.
• Czech or English language proficiency.
• Active Student Status.
• Legal work and stay permits in Czech Republic.

The Preferred

You Might Also Have:

• Familiarity with Typescript.
• Bachelor's degree in IT related field.
