Roblox is seeking a Brand Designer based on site in Tokyo, to support Growth Marketing across APAC. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering high quality, thoughtfully crafted design at scale. The designer will work closely with marketers, agencies, and business partners to translate briefs into strategically aligned, creatively compelling work that represents Roblox across regional marketing surfaces.

The role requires managing the full design process from concept through production, including briefing internal and external agencies, guiding feedback, and ensuring final asset delivery. A key part of the work is producing a consistent volume of creative, with a target of six or more concepts per month, inclusive of multiple aspect ratios and localization for markets such as Japan and Korea.

In addition to creation, this role carries responsibility for reviewing and refining assets to ensure they are culturally relevant, appropriate, and effective across diverse APAC audiences. Strong attention to detail, collaboration, and an ability to operate at speed without compromising quality will be critical to success.

  • Your skill set should be a potent mix of conceptual & systems-level thinking, graphic design, visual design, typography, identity design.
  • Comfortable leading workstreams — with experience in stakeholder management and communication

You will:

  • Review and refine assets to ensure they are culturally relevant, appropriate, and effective across diverse APAC audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with your team — mentoring designers, sharing ideas, and elevating the work through openness and craft.
  • Take the lead in shaping and presenting design work, communicating your thinking clearly and confidently with clients and stakeholders.
  • Translate insights and strategy into thoughtful, expressive design systems and identities that move brands forward.
  • Bring a deep understanding of branding, culture, and contemporary design — creating work that resonates with today’s most ambitious brands and founders.
  • Take ownership of your role and growth — embracing feedback, refining your craft, and setting a high bar for creative excellence.
  • Enhance the overall Roblox brand by creating compelling, crafted design materials about our brand
  • Contribute to how Roblox is defined and understood across all marketing surfaces
  • Partner with cross-functional partners across the organization to execute on-brand marketing materials
  • Maintain and contribute to our brand identity to ensure design consistency and craft
  • Work together with a collaborative team to deliver engaging visual designs that achieve business objectives while mentoring and provide feedback to other designers, elevating craft and cohesion across the team.

You Have:

  • You have at least 7+ years of design experience with an exceptional portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking mixed with meticulous design execution.
  • Your experience comes from the agency side and/or brand side. You have experience with vendors (e.g., agencies and production partners) and are comfortable guiding an agency as you are crafting and are happy to move between those roles.
  • High fluency in software, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Google Slides, and Keynote.
  • An obsession with craft: You place a high value on crafting your work, focusing on quality over quantity of ideas produced. You recognize that being detail-oriented is a badge of honor, and that going the extra mile to produce top-tier quality work that’s visually pleasing and engaging even on tight timelines is essential.
  • A thoughtful and resilient mindset. You understand that design is iterative and have the ability to operate nimbly.
  • The ability to be a self starter: You are comfortable and able to work independently, managing timelines and briefs from multiple projects and partners.

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
