As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams to create products and experiences that want to achieve maximum developer and player value. As a Principal Technical Producer on Data Foundations, you will lead the delivery of outward-facing data products that help business and technical leaders across Riot understand the health of their data ecosystems, how teams are engaging with the data platform, and where action is needed. This role begins with anin-development data product that surfaces standards adherence and platform engagement, but extends more broadly to shaping how Data Foundations thinks about, builds, and delivers data products for the rest of Riot. You will help establish clear patterns for translating platform capabilities, standards, and expectations into products that are useful, trusted, and actionable—enabling both studio-level and business-unit governance. You will partner closely with engineering and leadership stakeholders to define vision, build roadmaps, and ensure successful delivery and adoption. You will report to the Director of Software Engineering for Data Foundations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of data products that make data health, standards adherence, and platform engagement visible and actionable for Riot leaders

  • Shape and evolve product vision and roadmaps for Data Foundations’ outward-facing data products

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate platform standards and governance needs into clear product requirements

  • Establish and reinforce strong data product practices, ensuring what we build is usable, trusted, and fit for decision-making

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (Rioters and vendors) to deliver sustainably and predictably

  • Own the initiative’s work systems (rituals, tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication)

  • Ensure teams make clear commitments and deliver against them, while continuously improving how we work

  • Act as an advocate for Data Foundations’ product direction, clearly communicating intent, tradeoffs, and progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium teams

  • Experience building or leading data-driven or platform-adjacent products

  • Strong ability to define and communicate product vision across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with iterative development methodologies like Scrum & Agile, and ALM tooling (i.e. JIRA)

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience building products for internal customers with diverse needs and levels of technical fluency

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with data platform and analytics tooling (e.g., Databricks, Tableau, dbt, Monte Carlo)

  • Familiarity with operating in environments where standards, governance, and platform adoption are critical to success
