About Revolut

People deserve more from their money. More visibility, more control, and more freedom. Since 2015, Revolut has been on a mission to deliver just that. Our powerhouse of products — including spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more — help our 70+ million customers get more from their money every day.

As we continue our lightning-fast growth,‌ 2 things are essential to our success: our people and our culture. In recognition of our outstanding employee experience, we've been certified as a Great Place to Work™. So far, we have 13,000+ people working around the world, from our offices and remotely, to help us achieve our mission. And we're looking for more brilliant people. People who love building great products, redefining success, and turning the complexity of a chaotic world into the simplicity of a beautiful solution.

About the role

Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.

We’re looking for a Business Compliance Manager to support and advise product and business teams on first-line compliance requirements. You'll ensure retail and payments features are designed, launched, and scaled in line with applicable regulatory obligations while maintaining a pragmatic, business-enabling approach.

Up to shape what's next in finance? Let’s get in touch.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning end-to-end payments compliance across the business, ensuring regulatory requirements, customer outcomes, and commercial objectives are met
  • Acting as the 1st line compliance partner for payments, supporting the design, launch, and scaling of compliant payment flows
  • Reviewing customer communications, journeys, and product launches through a consumer duty lens, challenging where required
  • Translating complex payments regulations into clear, practical guidance for Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
  • Identifying, assessing, and monitoring compliance risks across payments flows, proposing proportionate controls and mitigations
  • Reviewing new and existing payments regulations, identifying relevant obligations, and driving timely business implementation
  • Drafting, maintaining, and enhancing internal policies, standards, and controls related to payments compliance
  • Challenging the business constructively to ensure regulatory expectations are met without compromising customer experience
  • Building and shaping the payments compliance function, with the potential to become a global point of contact as the team scales

What you'll need

  • 6+ years of compliance experience in payments
  • Experience in card payments, either with an issuer, acquirer, merchant, or international payment scheme
  • Experience with process design or enhancements to improve compliance programmes with card scheme requirements or payment regulations
  • Technical knowledge and expertise in managing card scheme rules, from identification to implementation
  • The ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects at once, and meet tight deadlines

Nice to have

  • A degree from a top-tier university
  • A background in regulatory compliance, including expertise across consumer protection/conduct rules (e.g., consumer duty)
  • A track record of outstanding achievement in different areas
  • Experience working in a global setting
  • An understanding of how compliance risk and business risk interact
  • Highly adaptable skills to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

Building a global financial super app isn’t enough. Our Revoluters are a priority, and that’s why in 2021 we launched our inaugural D&I Framework, designed to help us thrive and grow everyday. We're not just doing this because it's the right thing to do. We’re doing it because we know that seeking out diverse talent and creating an inclusive workplace is the way to create exceptional, innovative products and services for our customers. That’s why we encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join this multicultural, hard-working team.
