The Red Hat Open Shift Git Ops team is looking for an intern interested in open source projects and deployment tools CI/CD workflows to join us in Brno. In this role, you will contribute to Red Hat Open Shift Git Ops development work with other Golang developers. You’ll help senior developers in developing features. As an intern, you’ll also write technical documents and handle development, support customers and engage with the global Git Ops team. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to gain experience in Kubernetes, Github, Agile and gain insight into the Red Hat Open Shift platform and gain understanding of layered products.

Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is July 1st.

What you will do:

  • Participate in daily standups and provide updates

  • Work on assigned features/epics

  • Contribute to upstream development and bug fixes

What you will bring:

  • You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.

  • Working knowledge of written and spoken English

  • Programming language(s) Python, GitHub, Golang, Java, with at least 1 year of experience

  • Other engineering skills such as Familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD) infrastructure.

  • Soft skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Any additional requirements Prior participation in open source software projects.
