About the Role

Raytheon has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Test Engineer. This role will support all aspects of Digital & Analog design and test (amplifiers, filters, power supplies), and RF design and test as a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team. The successful candidate will possess technical ability in the development and design of verification test capabilities, will also possess expertise in the specification, development, and troubleshooting of the associated test equipment; this includes supporting multiple military programs.

This will be an onsite role in our Chesapeake, VA location.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small projects / processes
  • Perform a wide variety of technical efforts including process, test, troubleshoot, and repair Digital, Analog and RF equipment
  • Observe, analyze, and report test data, perform tests and utilize various engineering drawings, manuals, and other related documentation
  • Assist in planning complex tests to evaluate equipment performance
  • Use analytical tools to analyze and simulate hardware testing designs prior to program execution
  • Work on Analog, Digital and High Voltage circuits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • 2+ years' experience troubleshooting and testing RF, Digital and Analog circuitry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various test equipment, general purpose, and program specific test stations
  • Ability to analyze and develop Test Software and Test Procedures for Analog/Digital assemblies and subassemblies to fault isolate to component level
  • Hands-on Technical Labs or experience in electronics (schematics, Integrated Components (ICs), etc.)
  • Experience troubleshooting of Analog/Digital circuitry
  • Previous experience reading and interpreting drawings to perform measurements and troubleshoot electronic equipment
  • Experience within these testing areas: Insertion Loss, VSWR, Phase, gain, amplifiers, crystal detector circuits for fault monitoring, Analog to digital conversion, Upconverting / Down converting, Crystal/ SAW Oscillating, Multipliers, S-band, L-band and X-Band frequencies

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $68,900 USD - $131,100 USD

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Incentive Compensation

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
